I created Modern Physio to give women the kind of care I wished I had, care that sees the whole person, not just the symptoms.
With more than 20 years in the health and wellness field, including 17 as a licensed physical therapist and a decade as a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist, I bring a mix of experience and empathy to every session. My training in Pilates, manual therapy, functional medicine, and nervous system regulation helps me look beyond what hurts to uncover why it’s happening.
Here, you’ll never feel dismissed or rushed. You’ll feel seen, supported, and confident in your body’s ability to heal.
I’m a licensed female physical therapist in Columbus, OH, and the founder of The Modern Physio, a women’s physical therapy and wellness studio in Grandview Heights.
I started Modern Physio because I saw how often women were dismissed or left without answers in traditional healthcare. Too many were told “everything looks fine” while still living with pain, fatigue, or frustration. I wanted to create a place where women feel seen, supported, and confident in their ability to heal.
For nearly two decades, I’ve combined evidence-based physical therapy with Pilates, nervous system regulation, and lifestyle medicine to help women feel strong, grounded, and connected to their bodies again.
My work goes beyond managing pain; it’s about helping you understand your body’s story and giving you the tools to move through life with trust and ease.

My job as a physical therapist isn’t just to treat what hurts; it’s to uncover why it hurts.
I take a full-body, whole-person approach that considers how your nervous system, movement patterns, and lifestyle habits all work together.
Each session is one-on-one and tailored to you. We’ll look at posture, strength, breath, stress, sleep, and daily routines to understand what your body’s been compensating for and how to restore balance.

Physical therapy is a foundation for lifelong wellness. My clients come to Modern Physio to heal, but they leave with a deeper understanding of their bodies and the confidence to care for themselves long-term.
Therapy can help you:
Release chronic pain and tension
Rebuild mobility, posture, and strength
Improve strength and flexibility through Pilates-based movement
Support hormone balance and nervous system regulation
Learn how to move, rest, & recover with intention
Every woman deserves care that feels both scientific and intuitive. That’s exactly what we create together: care that works with your body, not against it.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me balancing a full, busy life as a wife and mom to three amazing girls. We live here in Grandview with a house full of pets, a dog, and three cats who keep things lively.
My days are full of kids' practices, soccer games, and cheer competitions, but I make time to recharge with strength training, yoga, Pilates, and long walks with my dog. I love good books, meaningful conversations, and quiet moments that bring me back to center.
That balance between movement and stillness is what inspires the work I do every day. I know firsthand how stress, hormones, and life changes affect the body, and I use that understanding to help women find strength and calm again.
The Modern Physio is located in Grandview Heights, near downtown inside Modo Yoga Columbus. I work with women from across central Ohio, including Upper Arlington, Dublin, Hilliard, and Worthington.
Free parking is available in Modo Yoga's parking lot. Additional parking is available behind the studio for when the front lot is full. These spots are free for the first 90 minutes and all day on Sundays. However, parking there does require use of the ParkMobile app.
Modern Physio is a cash-based, out-of-network practice. I don’t work with or communicate directly with insurance companies, which allows me to provide longer, more personalized sessions without billing or procedural restrictions. Payment is collected at the time of service, and HSA or FSA funds are accepted.
Your first session is a comprehensive evaluation that lasts about two hours. We’ll discuss your history, goals, and symptoms, complete movement and nervous system assessments, and outline a plan that fits your lifestyle.
Not always. In physical therapy sessions, Pilates is often part of the plan, but depending on your needs and desires, a session may focus entirely on bodywork, manual techniques, or mobility work instead. In private Pilates sessions, however, the full hour is dedicated to mindful movement, with elements like self-mobilization, fascial release, and self-massage woven in to create a complete, restorative workout.
I specialize in working with women who want a more personal, integrative experience with physical therapy. My clients include professionals, moms, athletes, and women managing chronic tension or burnout. Many of my patients turn to me after previous experiences with rehab providers leave them wanting more.
